Magic Mike 2 Cast To Move Forward Without Original Crew Alex Pettyfer? ‘Jupiter Ascending’ Star Channing Tatum Thinks That ‘Everybody’s Gonna Be Back’

Summer just gets hotter! For next year that is. Magic Mike 2 has been set to come out on July 3, 2015 with original cast members reprising their roles for the sequel.

However, one original member is reportedly not coming back to reprise his role on the film. According to Hollywood News Daily, Alex Pettyfer who played the character role named Adam or "The Kid" has not signed on for the sequel yet. But, "Jupiter Ascending" star Channing Tatum thinks otherwise.

"I think everybody's gonna be back, I think, and obviously nobody's deals are done," the actor revealed.

Following MTV's recently concluded movie awards show, Tatum reveals his plans for the sequel titled "Magic Mike XXL." The "Jupiter Ascending" star is busy working hard with the script with his partner Reid Carolin.

The 33-year-old hunk divulges that Magic Mike 2 will take on the concept of a road-trip movie with more struggles but, still packed with fun and excitement. "This one, we want there to be a lot of conflict and a lot of struggle", he explained, "but we also want there to be a shit ton of fun, of ridiculous stuff you'll never see in a movie again."

Tatum believes that the entire team will be back to reprise their roles, although no deals are done yet. Matthew McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer who are included in the original film are all expected to make a comeback - they are more than welcome of course.

While Pettyfer is being rumored to be having problems with reprising his role in the planned sequel, Matt Bomer on the other hand, expresses his interest in returning on Magic Mike 2 cast as Ken according to E! News.

"Those guys, we had such a criminally good time working together," Bomer said. ""We just hit it off. It was such an ensemble mentality, which didn't have to be the case under those circumstances.

"[Channing Tatum] is so great and gracious and [Matthew McConaughey] was such a great leader that everybody had a great time," the actor continued. "So if it were to come together under the right circumstances with a good script, which I'm sure [Reid Carolin] is putting together, it'll be really fun to do."

Magic Mike which was originally on 2012 sky rocketed to the box office making $113.7 million, in fact one of the most lucrative films ever made by director Steven Soderbergh. It is now on its way to becoming a Broadway musical.

However, this time around Soderbergh's go-to assistant will be helming Magic Mike 2 set for a release date on July 3, 2015.

In other news, "Jupiter Ascending" star Channing Tatum made a rather interesting revelation about a rumored project that has been circulating for a while.

"I met with Lauren Shuler Donner. And I would love it. Gambit is really the only X-Man I've ever loved. I mean I've loved them all, they're all great, but I guess from being down south - my dad's from Louisiana, I'm from Mississippi, Alabama, Florida - I don't know. I just related to him. He's just kind of suave. He's the most un-X-Men X-Man that's ever been in X-Men. Other than maybe Wolverine, who's like the anti-hero. He's a thief. He's not even a hero. He's kind of walking the line of grey. He loves women and drinking and smoking and stuff so he's just a cool guy who happens to have a moral centre.

"I hope it comes together. You never know, it's a weird industry. If the stars align, I would die to play it. I'm already working on the accent. It's crappy at the moment."

If the cards are played right, perhaps we could see Tatum in X-Men: Apocalypse then.
