Daft Punk Tour 2014 Still On The Process Of Planning; ‘Random Access Memories’ Duo Still Scouting For Concert Venues!

Daft Punk Tour 2014 not happening for now! The electronic duo that brought us the hits 'Get Lucky' are still looking for a place for their own concert.

'Random Access Memories' group reported to be scouting a place for a tour in South Dakota namely the Devils Tower in Wyoming but was rejected of the proposal because the place was said to be disrespectful for the tribes in the area if a big event such as this would push through.

Reed Robinson, superintendent for Devils Tower National Monument was said to be approached by an agency representing the electronic duo for a request of a show in the venue but was respectfully denied by tribes in the area.

"This being a night skies park and a natural park and a sacred site to 24 different tribes, that would be considered sacrilegious and gets into that 'inappropriate use'," Robinson said. "And that meant maybe we would have to close portions of the main trail to facilitate this kind of stuff."

During the recently held Coachella, however, a look alike of the group made a surprise cameo during the set of the headliners Arcade Fire.

The intruders that dressed like Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo went on stage and a very slow version of "Get Lucky" was played before front man of the Canadian band Win Butler went on and uttered the words "What the F--- is happening? What is this? What is this, seriously?" sort of mocking the electronic duo.

In other report, singer for The Strokes, Julian Casablancas, after working with the robots on the Random Access Memories song "Instant Crush", the vocalist has been reported to be working another song with the duo again.

"There is another Daft Punk song that we worked on that was cool," he said.

The duo's latest album Random Access Memories became a huge hit in the last year and grabbed tons of awards during the Grammys including Best Dance/Electronica Album, Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical), Record of the Year and the duo and Pharell got the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the hit song.

In recent years, the electronic group has been nominated numerous times for Grammys, also winning the Best Dance Recording for another hit song "Harder Better Faster Stronger" and Best Electronic/Dance Album for the record "Alive 2007", in the 2009 Grammys.
