Upcoming LG Phones 2014: G3 Could Be The Best Smartphone To Launch This Year, Detailed Specs Include 5.5" QHD Display, 3GB RAM, 32GB Built-In Storage, 13MP Camera

Upcoming LG phones 2014: For months, we have been teased about LG's upcoming flagship, the G3 and successor to the highly popular G2 smartphone.

And now that it is only less than a month until the phone's unveiling, we get a good treat from our friends at GSM Arena and its tons of sources and leaksters.

In the report, a couple of live images of the upcoming smartphone was leaked all over the Web for us to see. From the looks of it, it certainly has some striking similarities with the G2, though it is noticeably bigger and thinner.

Like the G2, the G3 will also have the volume rockers and the power button at the back, just below the camera sensor which is tipped to be 13MP with optical image stabilization (OIS).

As far as specs go, another report almost lists down all of the LG smartphone's specs which include a 5.5-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution which amounts to a pixel density of 534ppi.

Rumored to be on board as well is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, a quad-core CPU and a microSD card slot. As for the confusing RAM issue, it appears that the LG G3 will come in two versions - one with a 3GB/32GB RAM/ROM combination and one that gets 2GB RAM and 16GB of built-in memory.

A couple of months back, this strategy has also been used by Oppo when it launched the Find 7 and Find 7a, though we do not know whether the 2/16 version would only get a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution display. Still, it is good to know that LG is already giving options for consumers even before it announces the device.

The LG G3 is scheduled for a May 27 launch, and we expect it to become a hit if the price is right.
