iPhone 6 Release Date: New Apple Smartphone's Dummy Version Compared With Samsung Galaxy S5, iPhone 5s

iPhone 6 release date: There has been a lot of clamor about the upcoming iPhone 6, and even without any official details coming out of Apple, experts, bloggers and consumers already have a finished product in their minds and imaginations.

But what does the new iPhone really look like based on the rumors we have been reading over the past months?

According to a report by GSM Arena, the guys Italian website Macity.it managed to create a dummy iPhone 6 which takes into account all of the rumored specs, features and dimensions of the device.

Once they were finished with the dummy, there was only one thing to do with it - compare it with current smartphones.

The first comparison was with a Samsung Galaxy S5. Based on the image above, the Samsung flagship is only a couple of centimeters bigger than the dummy iPhone 6. Considering the slightly wider bezels of Apple's previous phones, the upcoming iPhone 6 could also get the same bezel area.

This means that the iPhone 6 could get a slightly smaller 4.7-inch display compared to the Galaxy S5's 5.1-inch screen.

After comparing it with the Galaxy S5, the iPhone 6 dummy was then compared with its older sibling, the iPhone 5s.

In the image, the iPhone 6 looks thinner than the current Apple flagship smartphone, thanks to the curved design. It is also worth noting that the upcoming iPhone would not get its power button on top like previous models, but at the right side.

So considering the dimensions of both the iPhone 5s and the Galaxy S5, the upcoming iPhone 6 could measure 135.3 x 71.9 x 6.1mm, which is slightly smaller than the Samsung phone, but bigger than Apple's current iPhone.

Apple will be holding its WWDC event in June and we expect to hear something from Apple itself.
