Jim Parsons Not Engaged To Todd Spiewak Just Yet, But The Web Can’t Stop Talking About His ‘Big Bang Theory’ Salary

Turns out the National Inquirer is not always reliable. After the publication issued a story that claimed Jim Parsons was engaged to long-time boyfriend Todd Spiewak, the "Big Bang Theory" actor took to Instagram to refute the story.

However, as the media speculates about the actor's love life, talk still seems to be swirling around Parsons' upcoming $1 million per episode paycheck for his hit CBS show.

After the National Enquirer ran a story that alleged Parsons had proposed to boyfriend Spiewak, the actor posted a photo of the pair on Instagram, writing:

"Me and Todd in 2003. Still very happy today... And NOT engaged! #justFYI #National EnquirerMakesS--tUp #duh"

According to the National Enquirer, Parsons has been "scared of change" when it comes to tying the knot with his partner of eleven years.

After Spiewak allegedly pressured Parsons, the actor reportedly decided the time was write to get down on one knee.

The publication claimed that a source said, "He finally told Todd, '[t]he thought of losing you is scarier than anything I can imagine."

In May, Jim squirmed in an interview on the Ellen show as host DeGeneres asked if he was interested in getting married.

"I feel like I haven't been enthusiastic enough about it and now I feel like I'm a loser for the cause," Parsons told Ellen.

Despite the fact that Parson's denied the National Enquirer's claim, news continues to swirl around the couple because of Emmy-winning actor's future payday.

The National Enquirer also wrote that an alleged friend of the pair said, "Jim has kept telling him he wanted to make sure he was settled and secure before he took on such a major change, but Todd shot back, 'You're going to be making more than $20 a year now. How set do you need to be?"

According to the Daily Mail, Parsons, along with with his co-stars Jonathan Galecki and Kaley Cuoco will each receive a million dollars for every future episode of "The Big Bang Theory" over the next three years. Their salaries will be tripled from the $325,000 they previously made for each installment of the half-hour comedy.

But has Parsons' salary played any part in determining his love life? It's hard to tell but if The National Enquirer is any indication, all signs point to false.
