Rita Ora Ice Bucket Challenge: British Pop Icon Dares To Get Wet Challenge, Passed The Call To Other Stars For A Cause

Rita Ora Ice Bucket Challenge: Rita Ora shivered while two buckets of cold water with ice cubes are poured on her as she accepted to be the next celebrity to join the Ice Bucket Challenge in a corner in New York on Monday. The British pop icon is one of the stars together with Charlie XCX and Iggy Azalea nominated by Jennifer Lopez who had her turn earlier.

Wearing a black sports bra, cuffed blue jeans and a pair of black and white flip-flops, the British popstar grabs the attention of onlookers and photographers as she shivers while accepting the "chilly" challenge in promoting her support for people who are sick with the neurodegenerative illness Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ASL) commonly known as Motor Neurone Disease or Lou Gehrig's Disease.

The 23-year old pop star, at one point, jumped and yelled as she fights back her discomfort when the new icy cold temperature is introduced in her body.

Later on in her Instagram account, she posted a video of her ice bucket moment and further passed on the challenge to Katie Holmes who has just been seen in the premiere of "The Giver last week, designer Donna Karan and models Jourdan Dunn and Kate Upton. She further captioned the post saying: 'Come on ladies!! #DOIT'

Lots of stars like Oprah Winfrey, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga and Suki Waterhouse among others have already accepted the challenge and expressed their support for the ALS association. Celebrities who are chosen to participate in the challenge are asked to respond within 24 hours. Those who will accept the icy challenge will donate at least $10 and for those who don't, $100 if will be asked and given to an ALS charity of their choice.

The ALS Association recently reported that they have already received an amazing $13.3 million worth of donation from at least 25,000 in their three-week awareness campaign about the degenerative disease.
