Hulk Hogan Death Hoax: Wrestler’s Rep Confirmed He’s Alive, Videos of The Wrestler’s Death Said To Be Scam

Hulk Hogan Death Hoax: "Hulk Hogan is not dead," wrestler's representatives announced on Monday as death prank of Hulk circulated online on Sunday misleading fans to believe in the information. As said, hoax is just one of the latest batches of fake celebrity death reports that people should be careful of.

Meanwhile, reports said that videos of a Hulk Hogan shot in the head also went viral on the same days and users who got curious and clicked the video received instructions to share on their pages to see the full video. However, after sharing, users reported that they are transferred to a suspicious site, said to be a scam, which asks them to answer online surveys and supply personal information before they can watch the video.

"He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. He's still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet," reps of the 61-year old wrestler said in a statement.

It started on Sunday when reports said that an unknown user created a 'R.I.P. Hulk Hogan' Facebook and attracted at least a million likes and at least hundreds of messages of condolences for the celebrity are posted on the page.

One can also see a note in the "About" page with this caption: "At about 11 a.m. ET on Sunday (August 17, 2014), our beloved actor Hulk Hogan passed away. Hulk Hogan was born on August 11, 1953 in Augusta. He will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page."

The "#RIPHulkHogan" also went viral and sparked mixed reactions from Twitter users.

"I guess hulk hogan will never hulk hogain #RIPHulkHogan," one person posted on Twitter.

"You #RIPHulkHogan jerks scared me so bad. Stop doing that! Let's go back to #RIPBieber or something else universally hoped for," said another user.

In a recent survey conducted for the Celebrity Post reveal that as many as 80% who have been informed of the hoax believed in it. Some others are said to be skeptical and angry about it.

Reports said that the angry fans consider the death hoax as "reckless, distressing and hurtful to fans of the much loved actor."
