‘Dating Naked’ Contestant Jessie Nizewitz Files Lawsuit For Unexpected Nudity Shot: Show Costs Her Budding Relationship?

In what is perhaps the greatest example of dramatic irony, "Dating Naked" contestant Jessie Nizewitz filed a lawsuit against VH1 today, accusing the network of showing her crotch.

According to Entertainment Weekly, "New York model Jessie Nizewitz, 28, says the headline-making freshman reality series (trailer) flashed her crotch during one segment where she playfully wrestles with a date on the beach. Viewers noticed the unexpected reveal despite it being a very brief shot, and Nizewitz says she's been humiliated on social media."

Allegedly, producers had informed the model that her genitals would never be revealed and would instead be fully blurred during the episode. As reported by Variety, Nizewitz stated, "If you watch an episode, you will see that the blur actually makes it less revealing than a bikini would. Obviously, I did not expect the world to see my private parts, this is not what I anticipated or what any other contestants on the show anticipated."

"Dating Naked" is part of a group of nude reality shows led by Discovery's "Naked and Afraid." It would seem that the show has been relatively successful in finding matches for its contestants. In fact, one of the couples will air their nude wedding on VH1 on September 18th.

In the case of Jessie Nizewitz however, the show has seemingly been one nightmare after the other. In an interview with the New York Post, Nizewitz stated that the man she was dating for a month stopped calling her after the show aired. The Long Island native also stated that, "I felt lied to, manipulated and used. I was horrified."

The lawsuit names Viacom, Firelight Entertainment and Lighthearted Entertainment, none of which have released any statements yet. The $10 million dollar lawsuit however more than likely already has their attention and is bound to escalate from this point forward.
