On the July 13 broadcast of KBS "Star Life Theater," T-ARA Jiyeon shared during interview, "I loved Taekwondo so much when I was younger. I wanted to become a Taekwondo master one day."

When asked why she decided to become a singer instead, Jiyeon shared, "When I was younger and didn't know anything, I would watch dramas on TV and really want to be on it myself. As that desire grew, I went to an acting academy and auditioned by myself. That's how I ended up at my current agency. Though it I debuted as a singer, I was able to also go into acting. I think I was really lucky."
