‘The Flash’ TV Series Spoilers: Barry Allen Suffers Power Outage? Premiere Tackles Hero’s Relationship With Father

"The Flash" TV series spoilers hint of birth pains as Barry Allen will suffer some crisis in his powers. The premiere will tackle the superhero's relationship with his father.

Latest "The Flash" TV series spoilers from TVLine revealed that episode 7 will be a dark day for Starling, literally.

"Looks like Central City will get hit with a Blackout in Episode 7, when Farooq, an electricity-wielding metahuman, seeks vengeance against Dr. Wells," the TVLinereport said. "Flash to the rescue? Mayyyybe not, seeing as Barry will be suffering a 'powers' outage just when this new baddie arrives."

The CW network released stills on the premiere episode of "The Flash" which airs on October 7.

Although previous "The Flash" TV series spoilers revealed that John Wesley Shipp will play the father of Barry Allen (Grant Custin), the new images only confirmed the reports.

One of the images show John Wesley Shipp, who also played the world's fastest man in the CBS series during the 90s, who is more grounded this time. In the series, Barry Allen's father is behind bars and the photo shows him talking to his son.

Showrunner Greg Berlanti told TVLine in May that when they conceptualized the new Flash series, Andrw Kreisberg, Geoff Johns and himself could only think of John Wesley Shipp to play Barry Allen's father.

"He gives a fantastic and emotional performance in the pilot and we are looking forward to his presence in many more episodes," He said.

The Hollywood Reporter , meanwhile, dished out more "The Flash" TV series spoilers when it reported the addition of Dominic Purcell as Heatwave, joining former co-star Wentworth Miller who plays another villain in the show, Captain Cold.

This is the first TV reunion for both Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller since the highly successful "Prison Break" in 2009 where they played brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield. Purcell will make his appearance in the 10th episode, while Miller will appear on the fourth episode.

"Purcell will play Mick Rory, a pyromaniac who finds an outlet for his obsession with fire when he teams up with Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Miller) and becomes the villain known as Heatwave," the THR said. "In DC Comics lore, Heatwave is a member of the Rogues, led by Captain Cold."
