"The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" spoilers hint of the tension between Thorin and Bard who seem to be taking different paths toward a common goal: defending their race. Peter Jackson's trilogy headlines the most awaited films in December.

In its "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" spoilers, Movie Pilot even suggested that Thorin and Bard represent the two sides of the character of Aragorn, whom it calls as Tolkien's "greatest hero."

The website said that Bard represent the Ranger that is Aragorn because he reluctantly becomes a leader Lake-Town in trying to vanquish Smaug the dragon. In Aragorn's case, he reluctantly leads the fellowship in "The Lord of the Rings" to help Frodo destroy the One Ring.

On the other hand, both Thorin and Aragorn were expelled from their royal lineage, although the dwarf king is more flawed because of his experiences, Movie Pilot continued in its "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" spoilers.

"In the end, Tolkien and Peter Jackson use these two characters show different sides the different sides heroism, which are later united in Aragorn in 'Lord of the Rings,'" it added.

Meanwhile, "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" headlines expected blockbusters in December, the Salt Lake Tribune said.

"The third and final chapter in Peter Jackson's adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's novel, the precursor to "The Lord of the Rings," centers on brave Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) and the effort to bring down the dragon Smaug (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch)," the publication said in its article.

It added that "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" will join an impressive list that includes Ridley Scott's "Exodus: Gods and Kings," which tells the story of Moses, played by Christian Bale, and his conflict with Rhamses; "Annie" which stars Quvenzhane Wallis and Jamie Foxx; and "Inherent Vice" which stars Joaquin Phoenix as a pothead detective trying to get to the bottom of the disappearance of a former girlfriend and her lover.
