JYJ Members On Performing For International Broadcasts As '2014 Incheon Asian Games' Ambassadors

As honorary ambassadors for the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, popular K-Pop idol group JYJ had the opportunity over the weekend to perform the Games's anthem for the international sports community.

A short while later, the group traveled to Shanghai, China for their 'Return of the King' concert tour, where they had a press conference.

JYJ was asked the question, "How did it feel standing on stage at the opening ceremony of the 'Incheon Asian Games' the other day as the honorary ambassadors?"

Yoochun said, "I performed without thinking about broadcasting, but my eyes filled up with tears when the staff members told me, 'You came out a lot [on TV].'"  He continued, "At the time, I said, 'Ah, it was broadcasted.' I even got text messages from my friends abroad. It was fascinating that I got texts about getting to be on TV, wondering if it was something to warrant that. There were a lot of people there, but a lot of people recognized us, which I was grateful for, and it was fun performing."

Junsu added, "We diligently did a variety of promotions as honorary ambassadors, such as make a promotional video, shoot an MV, and perform in three countries, and we did a finale, but there were complications in that process. I was happy that we got to perform and we received a lot of cheers despite that end."

"It felt different," explained Jaejoong. "The last time the three of us appeared on the main network was during the inauguration of President Park Geun Hye [February, 2013], and we came out for about two seconds at the time. Before that, we performed 'Found You' at an award ceremony [2010 'KBS Drama Awards'], but after that, it has been about four years."

"That is why I had a lot of concerns about the ['Incheon Asian Games']," Jaejoong continued. "The important thing was not the stage but the picture, but still, a lot of things were well captured. I was happy that I felt like I was on TV for the first time in a long while. There were a lot of congratulatory messages, too."
