Jinusean Reveal Full Album Release Contingent On Success Of 'Tell Me One More Time'

The pressure is on for returning hip-hop duo Jinusean to do well with their comeback single "Tell Me One More Time" because if it reaches #1 on a music chart, then it could mean a full album release for the veteran duo.

In a photoshoot and interview feature on fashion magazine High Cut, duo members Jinu and Sean revealed the challenge-slash-condition from YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk.

"We're thinking of preparing for a full-length album too." Jinu said when asked about their new single, in an English translation from Allkpop.

"That's just Sean's wishes," responded Sean, then adding. "[YG Entertainment CEO] Yang Hyun Suk told us 'If you don't get #1 with this, I won't let you release an album.' We have to get #1 on a music chart at least once."

The pair also talked about how the duo came about releasing new music after 11 years on hiatus.

"After we appeared on 'Infinity Challenge', we found out that a lot of people were glad to see us, and a lot of people wanted us to have a comeback, so we gained courage from that," said Jinu.

"Jinusean's music was at a halt. We opened that closed door through 'Infinity Challenge' and overcame that threshold, and we had to pave the way for us. We paved the road for Jinusean again," said Sean.

Accompanying the High Cut interview was a spread of photos of the duo. The cover photo shows Jinu and Sean holding their first couple of albums released 16 years ago, acting as if they were overwhelmed by nostalgia. The inside magazine photos include one where they are wearing groovy clothes, while another shows them rocking an urban look with combat boots, black shirts and baggy pants.
