It seems coming out as lesbian has done Ellen Page a world of good, including finding a new girlfriend by the name of Samantha Thomas.

For the past several weeks, Ellen Page and Samantha Thomas have been spotted in both LA and New York, showing public displays of affection and not being shy about their relationship. According to Just Jared, the 28-year-old Page has been spending time in New York filming the upcoming movie "Tallulah with co-star Allison Janney.

But who is Samantha Thomas?

The 35-year-old is an artist who is not only gaining popularity on Instagram, but her website also shows an impressive array of press coverage and incredible artwork.

According to the Daily Mail, Page and Thomas have been dating for seven months, not long after the "Juno" star came out publically. Last year, the actress also revealed her desire to get married and raise a child.

"I'm so stoked to get married," said Page. "I'm such a romantic, it's awful. I don't think I'd want to make a kid, but I'd love to raise one. I'd love to raise a kid."

Ellen Page came out on Valentine's Day of 2014 during a speech at the Human Rights Campaign's "Time to Thrive" conference.

"I expected so much more hate," says Ellen Page to Flare magazine, but the reaction "was just remarkably positive, which is beautiful, because it's indicative of the change that's happening."

"You think you're in a place where you're all, 'I'm thrilled to be gay, I have no issues about being gay anymore, I don't feel shame about being gay,' but you actually do. You're just not fully aware of it. I think I still felt scared about people knowing. I felt awkward around gay people; I felt guilty for not being myself."
