The new NBA season has finally begun which means NBA trade rumors will once again make the headlines.
To start the season, the first names that are allegedly in the trade rumor mill are Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal and Houston Rockets forward Terrence Jones.
Bradley Beal is reportedly looking for a max contract with the Wizards but the team is not quite convinced with his level of production, yet. Beal only improved 1.4 points from last season compared to the 2013-2014 season. However, the young shooting guard is making strides in the first three games of the 2015-2016 season by averaging 25.3 points per ball game.
Per J. Michael of CSNMidAtlantic.com, "The clock also is ticking on coming to terms with Bradley Beal on an extension to his rookie deal. But just as in July, August and last month, the situation remains unchanged, CSNmidatlantic.com has been told by multiple persons with knowledge of the situation."
If the Wizards and Beal be unable to meet halfway, the Wizards might be forced to move the shooting guard. Beal still has plenty of upside and he might have the same situation as Enes Kanter, who was moved by the Utah Jazz to Oklahoma City after contract negotiations fell through.
Meanwhile, the Rockets are also mulling their options on power forward Terrence Jones, who is set to become a restricted free agent by the end of this season.
The Rockets are stacked in the four-position with Jones, Donatas Motiejunas (who is also set to become a restricted free agent) and rookie Montrezl Harrell. According to Bleacher Report, the Rockets will bypass contract extensions on both forwards.
Per Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports: "The Houston Rockets and forwards Terrence Jones and Donatas Motiejunas are bypassing contract extensions before the Nov. 2 deadline, unable to gain traction in discussions, league sources told Yahoo Sports."
Knowing GM Daryl Morey, he might just move his assets for someone or something (draft pick) of greater value sooner or later.
