Orlando Magic News: Victor Oladipo The Next Dwyane Wade? Kevin Durant Thinks So

Perhaps, one of the most promising young teams right now, the Orlando Magic roster is growing right before the eyes of its fans and the whole league.

The team is spearheaded by 2013 NBA 2nd overall pick, Victor Oladipo and it is obvious that he is taking the leadership role as he is currently posting career-highs this season.

Despite losing to the OKC Thunder, 136-139, Oladipo managed to record an impressive triple double (21 points along with 10 assists and 13 rebounds.)

The Indiana Hoosier product's play has garnered the attention of plenty of his colleagues, but none could be bigger as former league MVP Kevin Durant praised his ever improving game.

Kevin Durant said that his motor and tenacity is impressive and it reminds him of another superstar, Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade.

"I know this may sound maybe a little too early," Durant told Orlando Sentinel, "but he reminds me a lot of Dwyane Wade in his body, his athleticism and how he gets to the basket. I'm not saying he's Dwyane Wade, but he reminds me a lot of him. He's definitely looking forward to taking on that role."

Oladipo is close to how the Heat star fared during his early years in the league. Oladipo's numbers has been gradually increasing from 13.8 during his rookie year, to 17.9 last year, and to who knows how good he will be by the end of this season.

Meanwhile, Oladipo revealed that he worked out with the Thunder duo, Durant and Westbrook, during the off-season and that might explain why Oladipo has been playing superb basketball so far this season.

"It was cool hanging out with them and seeing their perspective on the game, seeing how hard they work," Oladipo said. "It's not a secret why they're so good. Their work ethic shows. It was a pretty cool experience being with them out there."
