'Toy Story 4' Voice Cast Seeks Patricia Arquette For Major Role

Oscar-winning actress Patricia Arquette is being courted to join the "Toy Story 4" voice cast, according to Screen Rant.

The report claims that the 47-year-old actress is in negotiations with Disney to play a "hippie mother" in a script penned by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack (Celeste and Jesse Forever).

The fourth installment will see the return of several "Toy Story" cast members but it will center on a love story between Woody and Bo Peep.

"As we were looking around we came up with this idea because Bo Peep was not in 'Toy Story 3,' and it actually worked beautifully into this," said director John Lasseter in an interview with Collider. "So Woody and Buzz light-year go out to find Bo Peep and bring her back, and it's a very special and emotional love story."

Lasseter, who directed the first two films but sat out on the third, said that he was only interested in directing another "Toy Story" film only if they do something special to the series.

"What we wanted to do was find a type a story that we had not done in a 'Toy Story' before, and really our goal is to create something really original, something that's different from what you've seen before," he added. "In every sequel that Pixar does we try to do something that is very different from the original, but is as good in a different way."

"We love these characters so much; they are like family to us," Lasseter said in a separate interview published by First Showing. "We don't want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what's gone before."

"Toy Story 4" will release in theaters on June 15, 2018.
