BoA has been invited to perform at the 2015 FNS Music Festival in Japan.
Breaking the four-year silence due to the tension over Japan's refusal on admitting its sex slavery of Korean women during World War II, BoA will be one of the two artists representing Korea at the annual music festival. Korean singer K, who is active in Japan, will also attend.
Japan stopped inviting K-pop stars such as KARA and Girls' Generation to the festival in 2012.
The 2015 FNS Music Festival will be hosted by Fuji TV on Dec. 2.
BoA got popular in Japan in May 30, 2001, when she released her Japanese debut album ID; Peace B.
Aside from her performing at the festival next month, BoA will be releasing a new Japanese single titled "Lookbook" on Dec. 16. The song will be a dance track and incorporate EDM in its production.
"Lookbook" will be BoA's first Japanese release in one year. Her last Japanese single, "Fly," was released on December 3, 2014. Along with the release, BoA will be holding a concert titled BoA Special Live : Nowness in Japan on Dec. 11.
BoA recently turned 30, and celebrated her birthday on Nov. 5.
