'Ghost In The Shell' Adds A Villain In The Cast, Sam Riley Joins To Create Chaos

"Ghost In The Shell" now has a villain in its cast.

"Ghost In The Shell" has been in the planning stages for quite some time and has recently amde progress when Hollywood actress Scarlett Johanssen was signed on to star in the film. Now that "Game Of Thrones" star Pilou Asbæk got one of the film's big roles, it is safe to say that the film is going in a good direction.

Sam Riley, from "Maleficent," is reported to be the next actor to join in the production as the film's villain. However, Deadline reported that he is only in the early negotiation stages and has not yet officially closed the deal yet.

Slashfilm reported that if Riley does sign on the live action film he will allegedly be a dangerous hacker known as the Laughing Man. His aim is to destroy the advancements in cyber technology in Hanka Robotics.

The release date set for "Ghost In The shell" is in in Spring of 2017.

"Ghost In The Shell" is a Japanese media franchise originally published as a manga series of the same name. It was first serialized in 1989 and has since then become an anime series and an animated film.

It is a science fiction story set in a post-cyberpunk future that follows the hunt for a mysterious hacker known as the Puppet Master. Motoko Kusanagi, an assault team leader for the Public Security Section 9 is assigned to the mission. Like many of the citizens during this time, computer technology has reached a level of cybernizations where humans get technology and parts.
