Girls' Generation's Taeyeon has completely captivated viewers in both America and around the world, landing the spot of number one most viewed K-pop music video on YouTube in the month of October for her debut single "I" featuring rapper Verbal Jint.
The single marks the Girls' Generation leader's first solo venture. Her position at the top of the list was undoubtedly in part to the legions of dedicated Girls' Generation fans.
The top 10 list of most viewed K-pop music videos in America in October had some surprising results. JYP's recently debuted 9-member girl group Twice came in second place with their debut song "OOH-AHH" reaching the runner-up position in both the U.S. and world rankings. f(x)'s "4 Walls" and IU's "Twenty-Three" also rank within the top 5 on both lists.
Meanwhile, Taeyeon is finished with promotions for "I" and is preparing for a Christmas-themed album titled "Dear Santa" with the three-member Girls' Generation project group TaeTiSeo. The sub-unit will perform songs from the upcoming album live for the first time on Dec. 3 during a showcase in Seoul.
