'Kick-Ass' 3 And 'Hit-Girl' Prequel Still Up In The Air; Mark Millar And Matthew Vaughn Just Waiting For Go Signal

Although a "Kick-Ass 3" sequel and a "Hit-Girl" prequel are still up in the air, Mark Millar is still positive that they can get the job done soon.

Although the film franchise can be considered successful, the lackluster ticket sales "Kick-Ass 2" received is giving the production companies a hard time easily green-lighting the film.

However, should "Kick-Ass 3" sequel and a "Hit-Girl" prequel come to fruition, fans can rest assure that series creator Mark Millar and director of the first "Kick-Ass," Matthew Vaughn to have plenty of ideas for the sequel.

Millar said that the two of them have discussed this possibility when they were drinking in a pub not too long ago.

I love the idea of there being 'Hit-Girl' movies," Millar told JoBlo. "It has to be the right story, though. We have a crazy idea for it. And, every now and then, I think, 'Is this too crazy?' because it is, kind of, insane. 'Would the world accept this?'"

"It makes 'Kick-Ass' look like 'Finding Nemo,'" he added. "Matthew Vaughn and I have chatted about it in the pub - it is fine in the pub. But, when we are being interviewed two years later, is it going to be terrifying? So, I do not know. It seems a fun thing, though."

First, they need to at least get actress Chloe Grace-Moretz on board as the young star expressed her disappointment with piracy, which is said to be the biggest cause why "Kick-Ass 2" got low ticket sales.

"You know, I hope, I wish [for a third film] That's be fun. That'd be great. I doubt it, but I would love it," she said via io9.

"The hard thing is if fans want a third movie, they've got to go buy the ticket to go see the movie. It was like the second most pirated movie of the year, so if you want a movie to be made into a second, a third, a fourth and a fifth, go buy a ticket. Don't pirate it," she added.
