JYJ member Kim Jaejoong will appear on stage as a hologram for a concert in Japan next year to celebrate the release of his second EP.
Jaejoong is currently in the military, which prevents him from physically performing concerts. However, thanks to recent technology, the singer can perform on stage without actually being there. Instead, a prerecorded, lifelike, 3D hologram of the star will appear on stage to perform songs from the album for the first time.
The "Hologram Real Live Concert in Japan" will be held on Feb. 9-10, 2016 in Tokyo.
According to Jaejoong's agency, C-JeS Entertainment, the tracks for the forthcoming album were recorded prior to the star's mandatory military enlistment. The EP is expected to have more pop elements than his previously released solo album WWW with its hard-hitting rock riffs.
Jaejoong has also released a star-filled poster for the hologram concert.
