After getting stuck at customs in a U.S airport for hours, the K-pop rookie group Oh My Girl turned back to South Korea on Thursday.
Oh My Girl flew into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) ahead of a planned photoshoot for group's next album jacket. After being detained by customs for several hours, Oh My Girl's agency, WM Entertainment, was forced to turn the eight-member girl group around to South Korea.
The girl group spent a total of ten hours in LAX after landing in the United States on Wednesday, and spent upwards of seven hours being inspected by customs. After ten hours, Oh My Girl headed back to South Korea.
"They went through the immigration but had problems with the customs office due to clothes and accessories for the shoot," an official from WM Entertainment said, according to the K-Pop Herald. "We're still trying to figure out what's going on."
Korean internet users commenting on articles speculated that Oh My Girl were detained due to designer clothing or props in that would have been featured in their photoshoot, or that they were held by customs officers who feared they were being brought into the U.S as prostitutes.
Oh My Girl debuted in April with the album "Oh My Girl," and are the little sister group to the K-pop boy band B1A4. They released their second album "Closer" in October, and have plans to release a new album in 2016.
