Ed Sheeran is about to make a huge follow up, as he talks about what fans should expect from his new album following the huge success of his previous record, "X."
As pointed out by Rolling Stone, the "Thinking Out Loud" singer talked about his follow up to "X" and revealed that he expects the songs in the record to be "great."
"I could probably release one of them tomorrow and have people like it," Ed Sheeran said about his new album. "'X' was full of good songs and a couple of great songs, and I feel like on the next couple of records there will be more great songs than good songs."
He also talked about considering putting up a band, but claimed that playing alone has been his signature style and that he should continue what he has been doing.
"Yeah," Sheeran said. "And then I kind of was like, 'There's no one else at my level doing what I'm doing, so why would I want to do what everyone else is doing?' Surely it's better to be different. And I know my show can be better when I do it solo than if I do it with a band."
Meanwhile, apart from talks about his new album, Ed Sheeran revealed in an interview with Australia's Nova radio, as reported by Billboard, that he would have to undergo surgery next month to fix his ear drum, which reportedly burst.
"I have to have an operation in January on my ear because I stupidly jumped off a yacht really high up and smashed it," he said. "I landed wrong and it burst my eardrum so I have to go and get a graft, which means I'm not allowed to fly for a while, so it's kind of good, it means I have to stay at home."
