Rap Monster, the leader of K-pop idol group BTS, continues to deal with an ongoing injury despite the group's most recent comeback.
The BTS member known known as Rap Monster (Kim Namjoon) has been performing BTS's most recent comeback performances with one hand in a cast. Rap Monster's entire right hand was in a white plaster cast during several live performances of "Run."
Despite the hand injury, Rap Monster performed his parts of the performance and danced along perfectly matching the other members of K-pop idol group.
The rapper and BTS as a whole has been known to work diligently despite injuries, and neither Rap Monster nor BTS's agency, Big Hit Entertainment, released a statement on his current cast.
Rap Monster also injured a hand in the past. During a film shoot for the music video for BTS's 2013 song "No More Dream," Rap Monster grabbed a wooden board that had a nail in it and first injured his hand.
BTS saw their most successful year with the release of two albums in 2015, the interrelated "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life, Part 1" and "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life, Part 2." "Run" is the first single off of the latter album, and was released on Nov. 30.
