Continuing the momentum from their breakout hits in 2015, six-member Korean girl group G-Friend are planning a comeback for mid-January 2016.
According to various music industry insiders, the group have tentatively scheduled their comeback for January, exactly one year after they debuted. G-Friend have already recorded the album and are now working with the production team to add the finishing touches.
For this album, G-Friend are working with Lee Ki Yong Bae, the same composer who wrote "Glass Bead" and "Me Gustas Tu," the title songs from their two previous albums.
G-Friend originally planned their comeback for Dec. 2015, but postponed it until 2016 in order to improve the quality of the album and participate in year-end award ceremonies.
G-Friend will still face stiff competition with a January comeback. Other idol groups, including YG Entertainment boy group Winner, are also planning a comeback in that time frame. In order for G-Friend to continue to increase their popularity in 2016, they have to plan every move carefully.
