Keith Urban's father, Robert Urban, has been laid to rest on Thursday after succumbing to cancer. During the ceremony though and after lots of rumors about their marriage, some noticed Nicole Kidman was not in attendance.
As reported by The Record, the service was held in in Queensland, Australia. The "Cop Car" singer was joined by his mother and brother. His children and "Photograph 51" actress wife were not seen.
According to Mail Online, the "Cop Car" singer also drove his father's beloved Lincoln Continental in honor of the departed one. Some friends of Robert Urban also came in riding their motorcycles as the late country singer's father loved motorcycles.
Although it was not clear why the "Photograph 51" actress was not seen during the service, reports said that Nicole Kidman and their marriage was Keith Urban's rock at the moment.
In an item on Closer Weekly, it was mentioned that Kidman felt really bad for her husband and his grief as she knew how it was to lose a father. Her beloved father, Antony Kidman, died just a year ago.
"Nicole is heartbroken for [Keith]," an insider told Woman's Day Australia as cited by the source above. "All she wants to do is hug him and hold him and tell him everything will be okay."
The late Robert Urban succumb to cancer just last week. In a statement to Fox News, the "Cop Car" singer expressed just how much appreciative he was over the outpouring of love and support from many people following his dad's death.
"I've been deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support that [Nicole Kidman] and I, and our family, have received since my Dad's passing on Saturday night," Keith Urban stated after much challenges he has faced this year including marriage woes. "His long battle with cancer is now over and he is finally at peace...Thank you to everyone who has kept us all in your thoughts and prayers."
