Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer's famous new friendship has gained even more popularity as both actresses were nominated for this year's Golden Globes. Schumer was nominated for her role in "Trainwreck" while Lawrence got the nod for "Joy."
Based on a report by vanityfair.com, Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer recently became good friends. The star of "The Hunger Games" franchise apparently joined Schumer and her friends in their annual summer vacation trip.
"So we go to the Hamptons, and Jennifer and I have become friends," Schumer said. "And I was like, 'Oh, we're going on a boat tomorrow, you should come.' It was kind of hypothetical, and she was like, 'I think I'm coming,' and I was like, 'Oh my God.'"
Schumer's high-school friends reacted exactly as you might if you were to learn that Jennifer Lawrence-your fantasy B.F.F.-was suddenly showing up on your vacation.
"I filmed a video of me telling my friends-and they're like nurses and teachers-that Jennifer Lawrence is coming on a boat with us tomorrow," Schumer explained. "So they're all screaming."
"She's the coolest chick you'll ever meet," Schumer said about the Oscar winner and "X-Men" star. "She's the best hang, she was like one of the gang."
Lawrence had only kind words about Schumer as she talked about being pitted against each other for the Golden Globe. As ew.com stated, Lawrence said that she wants Schumer to win on TV show "Late Night with Seth Myers." "Her performance was the year," Lawrence said. "She was the year. She drew the map, she wrote it out, she put herself on it, and then she showed us the map. ... That's who I would vote for."
Schumer on the other hand, kiddingly remarked "As soon as I saw that we were both nominated, I took her right out of my phone because our friendship is obviously over."
"It's really every woman for herself at this point, and I don't want her to kind of get in my head, you know," Schumer joked.
