Staying Relevant In The Increasingly Competitive K-Pop Industry, According To VIXX

VIXX roamed the shadows in High Cut Vol. 164. The Jellyfish Entertainment boy group modeled dark designer combinations by brands like Carolina Herrera while appearing tormented and sad in a dimly-lit bedroom. Hong Bin even had fake snake tattoos across his chest.

During the interview, the group was asked how they have remained relevant and successful despite the competitive nature of the music industry. Leo answered, "We can't say we succeeded with just one song. VIXX was able to succeed because of our color that can be seen at just one glance."

VIXX's distinct color mainly includes dark, mysterious concepts. For their music videos, the members have become vampires, cyborgs, voodoo dolls and even dark angels!

Although VIXX has accomplished a lot since their debut, leader N believes the group still has a lot to learn and improve.

"It's already been four years since we debuted but when the public sees us, they think, 'Aren't they that rookie group?' So we still have a long way to go," he revealed. "We're not a group that possesses that something special. Our ambitions are not enough."

It seems that VIXX's hard work is already paying off this year. The group recently had their first win at a music show! They took first place at SBS MTV's The Show on Nov. 17 with their song "Chained Up."
