BTS 'Run' Up U.S. iTunes K-Pop Chart With Their Latest EP And Single

On Korean pop group is dominating iTunes music charts in the U.S.

On Friday, Dec. 18, the U.S. iTunes K-Pop Chart revealed that BTS's latest EP The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 2 and their lead single "Run" had ranked number one.

In addition to the group's newest single hitting the number one spot on the chart, another track off the album, "Butterfly," is situated comfortably in the sixth position.

The album was released on Nov. 30 and is a follow up to Part 1 from earlier this spring. BTS's lead single from the first EP, "Dope," also made an impressive appearance on the recent iTunes chart at number three, while a second single from the first part EP, "I Need U," is in seventh place.

The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 2 is not only dominating on iTunes, but also debuted at number 171 on the Billboard 200 on Dec. 9.

"Run" also landed at number one on the World Digital Songs ranking on the same date.

The chart positions should come as no surprise to many fans as BTS are quickly gaining viral popularity around the world. The group was the most reblogged K-pop artist on Tumblr in 2015, beating SM Entertainment's popular male groups EXO and SHINee.

Meanwhile, BTS are actively promoting "Run" on the major network music shows in Korea and have already won three first place trophies for the song.
