Bruce Springsteen New Album May Be A Solo Record, Taking Time Away From The E Street Band?

Bruce Springsteen is reportedly working on a new album and it would not be like any of his previous releases as The Boss is reportedly working on a solo tenure, without getting help from the E Street Band.

Springsteen recently appeared on a SiriusXM's E Street Radio, which was reported by Consequence Of Sound and talked about the potential releases he has in store for the band's future.

"It wasn't a project I was going to probably take the band out on," Bruce Springsteen said about the new album. "So I said, 'Gee, that's going to push the band playing again until a ways in the future. It'll be nice to get some playing in so you don't wind up being two or three years between E Street tours.' This will give us a chance to get out there and stretch our muscles a little bit."

Furthermore, he also noted about the tour, which was initially scheduled to be a series of shows in a stretch of 24 venues that turned out to be a massive tour.

"We made the box set and there was no plan to tour," he said. "Then we felt, 'Maybe we should do a show just to raise the flag and have some fun and make it a little more exciting.' I said. 'Okay, maybe we'll do a show in New York.' Then that went quick to, 'Maybe we should do a couple of shows.' Then it turns into, 'Maybe we should do a small series of shows, basically one-nighters, with maybe a little bit around the country."

There are no official words from the band or Bruce Springsteen himself as to when the new album would come out but is expected in the next year. The boss, however, is currently busy about the tour.
