Girls' Generation Soloist Taeyeon To Join EXO, Big Bang As Performer For Gaon K-Pop Awards

Girls' Generation member Kim Taeyeon has been confirmed to attend the fifth Gaon K-Pop Awards in February 2016.

Taeyeon is the fourth artist added to the growing list of stars who will be attending the music festival, according to local news media outlet Star News. The other three confirmed artists are EXO, BTS, and Big Bang.

This is certainly not the first time that Taeyeon has attended the festival. Back in 2012, Taeyeon hosted the first ever Gaon K-Pop Awards with composer Joo Young Hoon.

The Gaon K-Pop Awards is a music festival that celebrates songs and awards, which finalists are based off the previous year's Gaon year-end chart performance.

Taeyeon has had a great 2015 as she successfully captivated fans in both the United States and around the world, as she released her beautiful solo single titled "I" in October. The music video was nicely filmed that viewers globally could not stop watching because it landed number one for most viewed on YouTube.

Taeyeon's last promotional activity is with the comeback of Girls' Generation's sub-unit TaeTiSeo, with their winter single titled "Dear Santa." "Dear Santa" was released on Dec. 3.

Lastly, she performed with her other Girls' Generation members as they attended the SBS Gayo Daejun on Sunday, Dec. 27.
