SHINee is kicking off the year right by topping Japan's Oricon weekly charts for the first week of the new year.
On January 1, SHINee released their fourth full Japanese album DxDxD. Since then, the album as shot up the Japanese charts, claiming first place for the first week of 2016. The album includes their latest Japanese title track, "DxDxD," as well as previous hits like "Your Number" and "Sing Your Song." It also boasts the Japanese version of SHINee's summer hit "View."
DxDxD comes a little over a year after SHINee's last Japanese album I'm Your Boy. I'm Your Boy also peaked at the top spot on Oricon charts.
According to Korea Herald, SHINee will be holding their "SHINee World 2015, DxDxD" concert later on this month. The concert will take place in nine cities including Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, and Hokkaido. Afterwards, the five member boy group will partake in another dome tour at both the Tokyo Dome and Kyosera Dome in Osaka.
Meanwhile, SHINee dominated the Korean pop world this last summer with their fourth Korean studio album Odd. In addition to earning a number of music show awards for their title track "View" SHINee also took home nominations as an "album of glory" by Arena Homme+ and was chosen one of MTV IGGY's "25 Best Albums on 2015 first half."
