On Thursday, SM Entertainment denied a rumored comeback for one of their most popular singers.
According to an SM rep to a local Korean news outlet, Girl's Generation's Taeyeon will not be making a solo comeback in the near future.
"Taeyeon is constantly working on music," the SM rep said, but clarified that no details have been confirmed for a new release from the singer.
It was previously reported that Taeyeon would release a digital single in February.
Taeyeon dropped her first solo EP, "I" last October, and received numerous awards for the album and single at year-end award ceremonies.
"I" is the first solo album from any Girls' Generation member, although Tiffany is also set to release solo music in 2015.
Taeyeon is recognized in South Korea as one of the most talented idol vocalists, based on her career as a member of Girls' Generation and a variety of drama soundtrack songs and collaborative tracks.
Fans will likely see a new release, but the rep told Newsen that they will have to wait.
"With regards to the comeback rumors, nothing detailed has been decided," said SM's rep.
