K-pop girl group Rainbow will return in February with a new album.
According to a music industry insider who released information to Star News on Jan. 16, the seven members of Rainbow are currently hard at work preparing their fourth album for release next month. This will be the group's first release in nearly 12 months. Their previous album, "Innocent," was released in Feb. 2015.
With the recent disbandment of KARA, DSP Media has no choice but to push forward their remaining girl group, Rainbow. The new album will make them the first DSP artist to release music in 2016.
In response, an insider at DSP Media told Star News, "The songs for the album are currently being selected."
"We have confirmed and are fully ready for a February comeback," the insider stated. "We are putting our heart and soul into our work, so be sure to get your hopes up."
Although the group will return to the stage in February, the exact date of the comeback has not been set, according to DSP Media.
Rainbow first debuted in 2009. This year will mark the group's eighth year of promoting together. However, their contracts are set to expire later in 2016, making the future of the group uncertain.
