Though it's been over a year since K-pop group 2NE1 released music together, they are just as popular as ever.
The YG Entertainment quartet achieved a major milestone on YouTube this weekend.
On Saturday, Feb. 6, 2NE1's official YouTube channel surpassed 3 million subscribers, with the girl group following in the footsteps of their world-famous label mates Psy (8 million subscribers) and Big Bang (5 million).
While fans seem just as tuned into the band as ever, members CL, Bom, Dara, and Minzy have been busy with individual projects since 2NE1 went on hiatus in 2014 following the release of their second studio album Crush.
Leader CL is currently preparing for her U.S. debut album, reportedly titled Lifted. Dara has been focusing on her acting career with several television and web series roles in recent months and her new gig as a host for JTBC's variety show Sugarman. Minzy spent time working with dancers in L.A. and recently opened her own dance studio. Bom, whose alleged drug scandal prompted the group's hiatus, has largely stayed out of the public eye as she takes personal time to reflect.
The four appeared on stage together in this past December for a surprise performance at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. Despite rumors, YG Entertainment has yet to confirm a comeback from 2NE1 is being planned.
