INTRO TO K-POP: "I was listening to a J-pop [Japanese pop] station on MSN Radio when I was 12 years old and for some reason 'ID;Peace B (Korean Version)' by BoA started to play. I knew it wasn't J-pop and ended up finding out what K-pop was. Suddenly, I was listening to BoA, S.E.S., and Shinhwa non-stop! I fell head-over-heels in love with K-pop."
THE DIFFERENCE: "The Korean language sounds beautiful in song. It also fed my imagination as to what they could possibly be saying in these songs. I used to make-up music videos in my head about what subject the music was about."
K-POP IN YOUR WORDS: "It's one of those things that make me so happy! It's just something I love and understand so well. They [K-pop stars] put so much effort into their videos and concepts to make their fans happy and I can appreciate it. It's not about the music being 'westernized' anymore, because now they are their own genre. They have their own niche in music."
FAVORITE GROUP: S.E.S
WHY S.E.S: "I know they broke up a long time ago, BUT they are my "ride-or-die" group. I can count on an S.E.S. song to brighten my day every time. I love so many other groups but they are one of the groups that made me love K-pop in the first place."
FAVORITE SONG: "Just A Feeling"
FAVORITE SOLO ARTIST: BoA
WHY BoA: "She just slays everything. She's gorgeous, her music is always fun, and she's an awesome dancer. She has so much sass when she dances and you can tell that she loves what she does. She is the main reason why I love K-pop."
FAVORITE SONG: "Copy and Paste"
