It is pretty safe to say that TWICE member Chou Tzuyu has had one heck of a roller coaster ride these past few months.
The young Taiwan-born K-pop idol has been rising in poularity as a pop star and an endorsement model, despite her recent political controvery. Last month, the singer was placed at the center of a social media dispute involving pro-Chinese nationalists and Taiwanese sepratists that may have had sway in Taiwan's recent elections.
The controversy extended further when a video apology was posted online by Tzuyu's record label JYP Entertainment showing the star reiterating the company's "one China" stance.
Following allegations that the apology was coerced, Chinese network NTD TV uploaded a video on reporter Ben Hedges's YouTube channel compiling clips from street interviews asking Koreans what they thought of the scandal and video apology.
Respondents largely supported the 16-year-old starlet with many chastising JYP Entertainment for not reacting in a productive way.
