Kate Hudson Dishes On ‘Great Guy’ Nick Jonas; Kate Hudson Book Dishes Out Healthy Alternatives

Kate Hudson, the daughter of Goldie Hawn, thinks Nick Jonas is a "great guy."

In live interview with CBS This Morning on Tuesday, February 17, 36-year-old actress Hudson was asked by Charlie Rose about the 23-year-old singer Nick Jonas.

Hudson didn't open up about her relationship with the former Jonas Brothers singer.

"He's a great guy. He's a sweetheart," the Mother's Day actress admitted.

The hosts told Hudson that Jonas said he and Hudson had a "beautiful connection."

"Apparently that we have a really beautiful connection," Hudson said later in the interview.

"I'm having a great time. I'm pretty happy."

Hudson just come out with a new book. Hudson recently spoke to E! News' Catt Sadler at Barnes & Noble in New York City's Union Square about writing her first book, "Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body."

"I think women feel a lot of pressure to look a certain way, to be a certain way, to be a certain kind of mom," Hudson said.

The Golden Globe-winning, Oscar-nominated actress has sons with ex-husband Chris Robinson and ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy. One of the chapters in the book details the importance of "rediscovering pleasure" after childbirth.

"Hormones are a funny thing. You have to sort of let it happen," said Hudson.

"That's hopefully another book that I'll get into [it] more in-depth. All women are so different. Some their sex drive is just gone. Some it amplifies and men are like, 'Hey, you're terrifying me.' Hormonally, you just never know how you're going to react.

"For me, personally, I think that there's sort of this great little bubble that you go into after you have a baby where both mom and dad sort of experience-and I don't mean this in a negative way, I mean this in a very positive way-[kids] shift the balance off-kilter of the home."

Yahoo Health asked the author/actress about her personal journey to becoming "body smart."

"For me, this is something that I grew up learning," Hudson said.

"My parents put me in dance class when I was really young, and I think that because as a kid I was so active and because I grew up with parents who are health-conscious, there was always a real awareness of health and activity in how I was raised. So I think this is something that was instilled as a tool for me when I was younger - and my curiosity still remains heightened when it comes to new and fun discoveries about health and wellness. But I recognize that a lot of people didn't have that growing up and are looking for guidance and understanding of things they can do to shift their lifestyles."
