Annie Ko responded to a frantic email from KpopStarz for a quick chat about the appearance when she landed at the airport.

KpopStarz: How were you chosen for SXSW?

Annie Ko: We performed at Mu:Con in 2015. It's a music conference held by the government. We were lucky enough to be selected by the director of SXSW.

KpopStarz: Tell us about K-Rookies 2014.

Annie Ko: K-Rookies was a incubator program for upcoming indie artists. We were the runner up that year.

KpopStarz: Do you get to hang out with the other artists?

Annie Ko: Yes. We know a lot of Korean bands But don't know many K-pop artists.

KpopStarz: how was the trip to Austin?

Annie Ko: It was fine. Long flight, a little jetlagged.

KpopStarz: Where do you rehearse in Texas?

Annie Ko: Ha, we don't rehearse.

KpopStarz: Have you seen the stage yet ?

Annie Ko: Nope. not yet. But I'm really interested in the venue "Container Bar". Seems like a cool place.

KpopStarz: Whose shows will you be attending when you're not on stage?

Annie Ko: I'll try my best to watch Ra Ra Riot.

KpopStarz: How did u end up performing at a "K-Pop" stage?

Annie Ko: Our show on Wednesday is called "K-Pop Night Out". It's an official showcase for K-Pop acts sponsored by the government. We're very aware that our music is so not K-Pop, but we're happy to perform in front of crowd full of K-Pop fans. It's a good stage, so we're good.

Love X Stereo is also taking requests from fans while planning their "Hide and Seek USA and Canada Tour 2016," that kicks off their appearance at the South by Southwest music festival in March.
