SM C&C (SM Culture & Contents Co., Ltd.) now has an entertainment agency to take care of their music content business.
On Monday, March 21, SM C&C announced to separate its video content business from its music content business, and establish Woollim Entertainment (Woollim Entertainment Co., Ltd) to handle its music content business.
SM C&C is an entertainment, travel, and television production company. SM C&C is a subsidiary of SM Entertainment, which Woollim Entertainment was acquired by SM in August of 2013 to merge with SM C&C, and form the Woollim Label.
The partition will happen on June 8, and SM C&C will own all the stocks from the company.
Fans who found out regarding this news are reacting and wondering why this merge happened. Also, that Woollim Entertainment should just separate with SM and go with their own style.
"Yes, let's go our separate ways" and "Should've never merged in the first place," are some of the comments from fans, as translated by blogger Netizenbuzz.
Along with this establishment that will take place, SM C&C is preparing a web variety show titled Earth Life Report, which is set to air towards the end of March.
The variety show will feature SM stars Super Junior's Leeteuk, Red Velvet's Yeri, and TRAX's Jungmo with EXO as the show's first guest.
