YG Entertainment's very own Big Bang and CL have joined the ranks of TIME Magazine's 100 Most Influential People, based on results from an online poll of the magazine readers.
Out of the 127 candidates in the pool of potential choices for the online poll, Big Bang and CL were the only K-pop stars to be included, showing the far-reaching popularity of the artists.
Other famous musicians included on the list include Taylor Swift, Drake, and Ariana Grande. The list is made up of influential figures from all fields, including music, politics, economics, technology, and more.
As of March 26, Big Bang are in the No. 3 position on the online rankings with two percent of the vote, behind Democratic presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders (5 percent) and U.S. President Barack Obama (2 percent).
Meanwhile, CL is ranked No. 26 with 1 percent of the total votes cast.
The voting officially ends on April 10 at midnight, so the rankings may change significantly before the final count.
CL made the TIME 100 most influential people list in 2015, which makes 2016 her second year in a row to be included.
TIME described Big Bang as being hailed as "the biggest boyband in the world," citing the group's ability to book arenas all across the world.
