EXO Fans Express Enragement During Group's Concert In Shanghai

EXO fans in Shanghai were not happy with the group's concert on Sunday, Mar. 27.

On Mar. 27, Chinese news outlet Sina reported that the fans are still venting their anger for EXO's Shanghai concert K-Friends because the original advertisement provided false information.

The organizers of K-Friends revealed that EXO's concert will be held on Sunday, March 27, for three hours from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (Chinese standard time). Also, that all the EXO members will be present at the concert, performing a total of ten songs, and hold other events during the concert.

With fans finding out this information, ticket prices were sold at a high price of 4000-6000 yuan (approximately $600-$900).

Due to the disappointment from the fans, they asked for refunds because unlike what was advertised, member Lay did not attend the concert, the group performed five songs, and the concert ended an hour earlier before 9:00 p.m. CST.

One representative of the concert organizer revealed during an interview with Sina about not entering a contract with the major agency, SM Entertainment.

"We did not sign a contract with SM Entertainment directly," the representative said, as reported by K-Pop Herald.

"Instead, there was a third party, but they (didn’t follow) the contract. They did not even show up for the show and we were not able to reach the agency as well."

The representative further revealed that the organizers just followed orders and that they will take action regarding refunding tickets to the fans.

"We just advertised as we were told by them. We even crossed Lay off the list after we heard the news of his absence. Specific details of the ticket refunds will be announced later on."

While this problem in China gets resolved, EXO is going to be the first guest for SM's subsidiary company, SM C&C, for their web variety show titled Earth Life Report.

The show is set to air towards the end of March.
