DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" continues on April 7 with the title "Progeny" and based on the synopsis, the gang is going to face one of their biggest challenges to date.
While they may have faced villains and dilemmas in various timelines, they will be facing something entirely unique in the upcoming episode. The plot, according to TV.com is the following:
"Rip tells the team they are headed to the future to take out a powerful ally that Savage needs in order to conquer the world. However, when Rip reveals the ally is a 14 year-old boy who will one day grow into an evil dictator, the team is split about the morality of killing a child, even if it does save the world. Meanwhile, Sara talks Snart through a rough patch and Ray learns something that could impact his future..."
The episode clearly presents a moral dilemma for our heroes and they now realize the consequences of their past actions. According to Carter Matt, "timelines change, and more than that...situations where many characters may be forced to at least consider things that they really don't want to do." This is not the first time they have to face something they don't want to do but this is clearly on a different level as it involves a child.
Assassinating a 14 year-old boy is going to be a very heavy burden for the team and they will have to push themselves to the limit to open up other options. There is a possibility that they might consider getting the kid out of the way without killing him.
The teaser video posted in Spoiler TV has these words, "it's not about killing, and it's about saving." The team might end up kidnapping the kid and placing him in a different timeline to prevent him from becoming one of the most evil persons in history.
