''Game of Thrones'' the popular television series created by showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss started in the US on Apr. 17, 2011. The popularity of the show compelled the makers to keep renewing the seasons and as per the latest update, Jon Snow's character will lie down as a corpse in the upcoming season 6.
George R. R. Martin's series of fantasy novels form the base plot for this TV series. The entire series of epic fantasy novels is named as ''A Song of Ice and Fire.'' ''A Game of Thrones'' is the first volume of the series which was published in 1996.
''A Clash of Kings'' the second volume was published in Feb.1999, the third ''A Storm of Swords'' in Nov. 2000, the fourth ''A Feast for Crows'' in Nov. 2005, the fifth ''A Dance with Dragons'' was published in Jul. 2011. Martin is working on the sixth and seventh volumes of this series which are entitled ''The Winds of Winter'' and ''A Dream of Spring.''
This popular TV series now has a worldwide viewership and the original channel HBO has aired it in Asia and many other continents too. IGN had confirmed that this popular show was renewed for season 6 and the fans are waiting for it to be premiered on Apr. 24, 2016. TV line confirmed this news in Jan. 2016.
In the TV series, Ned Stark's bastard son is named as Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) and he plays a significant character in the plot of this show. His role was present in all the seasons and the fans are speculating about his reprise in season 6. There were rumours about the non-existence of his role in the upcoming season.
''At this point in the Game of Thrones hype for Season 6, Jon Snow's impending return is hardly a question anymore. Kit Harington has been spotted on the set multiple times in intriguingly non-Night's Watch attire; he's failed to cut Jon Snow's signature mop despite having publicly said he would as soon as he no longer had to play Jon Snow; and he's been hilariously bad at keeping his mouth shut in interviews'' confirmed inverse.
''I was playing a corpse. I was there for a little bit, I was there for about a month or two months, it was spread over a bit and I was playing a corpse. I won't tell you how many episodes I'm lying dead but it's enough that I was out there for quite a while. It's going to be so satisfying when you see it and you realize that I was telling the truth the whole time'' clarified Harrington. So if he is playing the corpse in the upcoming season, then the plot must have taken a different turn.
Since Jon Snow's character had an apparent death in season 5, the fans are speculating about the fate of his character in season 6. ''Every single word in this story may be true, but we recommend taking them with a Wall-sized heaping of salt. Because when Game of Thrones' Kit Harington says he's only going to be in the HBO drama's new season as a corpse... we really don't believe he's just going to lie there like casket fodder'' was the verdict of TVline.
