"Gravity Falls" is one of the most popular cartoons from Disney in recent memory. Blending mystery, comedy and a dash of innocence, it's a TV series that doesn't just get hold of young kids as it also comes with some adult themes especially on its mysteries. Fans of the show don't just watch the series for its story - it's also a good way to hone their investigating skills to unwrap the mysteries that constantly surrounds Dipper and Mabel.
The animated TV series from Disney is a commercial success. According to Deadline, "The series finale of creator Alex Hirsch's toon drew 2.9 million total viewers on February 15 to become the most-watched program in Disney XD's history." Complementing the commercial success is the critical review of the series as it's currently rated at 8.9 out of 10 in both IMDB and TV.com.
Because of the popularity of the series and its successful finale, there are rumors that "Gravity Falls" could be back for another season. Creator Alex Hirsch has talked about the possible continuation of the TV series but it could be helmed by another writer or set of writers. According to Inquisitr, "Hirsch, however, hinted that Gravity Falls Season 3 may eventually happen, but perhaps he will no longer be in charge. He explained that while he is personally done telling the story of the Pines family, that does not mean that fans will not see Dipper, Mabel, and Stan again."
On the other hand, Hirsch could be finally done with "Gravity Falls" but that doesn't mean his artistry is also done. In fact, he recently updated on his twitter accounts some hilarious interpretation of the US presidential candidates...as Pokémon characters. Alex Hirsch interpretation of Ben Carson as "Carzzzon" on his official Twitter feed is hilarious as he recreated the presidential candidate with a hint of callback to the Pokémon character named Snorlax.
