‘Assassin's Creed 2’ Michael Fassbender To Play Callum Lynch: Release Date, Cast, Plot, Spoilers Revealed

The fans of Michael Fassbender have a reason to rejoice as he is all set to reprise in ''Assassin Creed 2.'' This movie is set for release on Dec. 21, 2016.

''Whatever you may think of the prospect of video game movies, Hollywood clearly thinks they're the next big thing to join comic books, classic cartoons and 1980s action figure lines as the go-to material for big-budget blockbusters. Much of the recent glut of gaming green-lights has centered on recent hits from the PC and mobile scene like Angry Birds, Five Nights At Freddy's and Minecraft; but so-called "Triple-A" console titles are also getting a shot in the form of the Assassin's Creed adaptation set to hit theaters in December as a star-vehicle for Michael Fassbender'' confirmed Screen Rant in a new article which was printed in Mar. 2016.

New Regency and Ubisoft Pictures are all set for the sequel of ''Assassin Creed.'' Tracking board did an exclusive story on this upcoming movie. ''The movie won't be a retelling of games' stories, but will exist in the same world'' is what the article said.

''The fans of the hit video game "Assassin's Creed" were hyped up when award-winning actor Michael Fassbender was confirmed to lead the film. It even got more exciting when an impressive cast was announced, including Marion Cotillard, Brendan Gleeson, Michael Kenneth Williams and Jeremy Irons who will be portraying Abstergo CEO Alan Rikkin'' clarified Youth Health Magazine.

As per the latest updates, ''Michael Fassbender will not be taking the role of "Assassin's Creed" protagonist Desmond Miles, but a new character named Callum Lynch.'' This movie's backdrop will be set in 15th century Spain.

''The sequel sees familiar names from the yet-to-be-released title's production team, with Jean-Julien Baronnet producing for Ubisoft Motion Pictures, Frank Marshall producing through his Kennedy-Marshall Company, while Fassbender and Conor McCaughan will produce through their DMC Films shingle. Matt Phelps will oversee for Ubisoft, while Pam Abdy will oversee for New Regency'' clarified Tracking Board.

The industry finds it amusing that the makers of the mega-popular Ubisoft video game series has put an indefinite hold on the game series, so how will the movie do well in the theatres? As per tracking board, ''the actioner won't hit theaters until December, but it appears as though producers feel they may already have a hit on their hands.''

Will you go to the theatres to watch this movie? Please pen down your thoughts here.
