K-pop group Wassup, known for their hip-hop and twerking-themed concepts created a campaign on K-pop crowdfunding website Makestar.
The group has set a funding goal of 7.7 million won (approximately $6,500). The campaign began on June 1, but donations have already surpassed 2000 dollars, which equals 32 percent of the total amount asked.
The crowdfunding campaign is set to run until the end of July, so the girl group has nearly two months to reach the required funding goal.
Those who donate will receive special rewards based on the amount of the contribution. The top reward, which can be obtained by donating $837, is a chance to record a duet with the group and to be included on the album. Other rewards include a meal with the members of Wassup, signed CDs, a video thank you message, a wake up call recorded by the members, various merchandise, and more.
Wassup debuted in 2013 and held their most recent comeback over a year ago, in Jan. 2016.
Other groups that have successfully funded projects through Makestar include Stellar, Laboum, Tahiti, and others.
