Emma Watson To Star As Mae Holland In The Upcoming Science Fiction Drama Film ‘The Circle’: The Cast Finalised And Filming Started

Emma Watson, the heartthrob of millions recently celebrated her 26th birthday on Apr. 15, 2016. The fans want to know more about her upcoming movie ''The Circle'' which will be directed by James Ponsoldt and he is the writer of the screenplay which is based on the novel of the same name by Dave Eggers which was published in 2013 and was quite popular among the readers.

The ''Harry Potter'' series famed actress will share the screen space as Mae Holland in the movie ''The Circle'' which will be released in 2016. Initially Alicia Vikander was cast for this role however since she signed two big budget movies ''Jason Bourne'' and ''Assassin's Creed'' due to date issues she dropped off from this project. In June 2015 the director Ponsoldt confirmed that Vikander is out of the project and Watson signed on the dotted line sometime in Jun. 2015.

Variety had talked about Watson's joining the cast of this movie along with Tom Hanks who will be playing the role of Bailey in this movie. The article which was printed in Jun. 2015 mentioned, ''Emma Watson will star alongside Tom Hanks in James Ponsoldt's upcoming feature adaptation of Dave Eggers' novel "The Circle.''

Along with Watson, John Boyega as Kalden, Karen Gillan as Annie Allerton, Patton Oswalt as Tom Stenton, Bill Paxton as Mae's father, Glenne Headly as Mae's mother, Ellar Coltrane as Mercer, Poorna Jagannathan as Dr. Jessica Villalobos and Jimmy Wong as Mitch will be the rest of the cast and crew of this movie.

The principal photography of the movie started on Sep. 11, 2015 in Los Angeles and the movie will be produced by Anthony Bregman, Gary Goetzman, Tom Hanks and James Ponsoldt. EuropaCorp will distribute the movie and the exact release date is not yet confirmed by the makers.
