Ailee has released her new comeback song 'Home' featuring the legendary rapper Yoon Mirae. After releasing 'If You' as a pre-comeback track, Ailee has released her most awaited comeback song, 'Home' on October 4.
Though the message of the song is still about love, it is obviously different from her previous releases. This time, Ailee's soft and vulnerable side is showing. Moreover, unlike her previous releases, 'Home' has this trap sound and slow RnB beat to it. Also, her look has changed as she is now sporting shorter hair and a darker overall look. She is also dancing more with this song and her choreography looks harder than her previous ones.
Soompi stated that her full mini album was released midnight of October 5 in Korean time. Her latest mini album titled "A New Empire" has six songs including 'If You' and 'Home'. It also includes tracks 'Peekaboo', 'Feelin' featuring her long time friend Eric Nam who is also an American Korean singer. 'Live or Die' featuring Tak of Baechigi and 'I Need You'.
Like what Fuse TV said, her strong vocals are still present in the song. Though there are not that much of a high note, Ailee's outstanding voice is still present. The song is obviously more on the hip-hop and RnB side as the most legendary female rapper, Yoon Mirae is featured. Mirae definitely added some spice to the song with her powerful rap.
In a translated article in Netizen Buzz, people were commenting that it was unfortunate that Ailee is up against the god, Park Hyoshin and Im Chang Jung. If she came back in a different time, she would be definitely on top of the charts. There were also comments about how her songs are kind of all the same and it is her agency's fault that they are not minding Ailee that much. Most of them think that Ailee is wasting her talent in an agency like YMC.
